Mangrove Boomerang Spider
This rare species is closely related to R. labiata. with common features such as having a modified spine at the posterior tip of the abdomen. Like R. labiata, the abdomen is lavishly decorated with a mosaic pattern of orangish brown, without any translucence as shown in some other Rhomphaea such as the species pictured above. It differs from R. labiata by the structure of its female copulatory organ, and by having an unusually modified tibia on the female palp.
