U-Pin Fighting Spider
In both sexes, the abdomen is decorated dorsally with iridescent green scales arranged in a unique U-shaped pattern (like the U-shaped hairpin, or a stationery paper clip). Their cephalothorax is reddish and compressed. The female differs from those of other Thiania by having an extraordinary copulatory organ and comparatively more robust legs I.
