Orange-waisted Long-patella Ant Jumper
This unusual jumper is recognised principally by the structure of the male palp. The slender abdomen of the male is covered with shiny plates on the anterior and posterior ends, both carrying erect and stiff bristles visible to the naked eye. It is constricted in the middle section which is darkish orange and decorated with patches of feathery white setae. The dorsal side of metatarsus IV is lined with a conspicuous row of such feathery white setae. Similar white setae also line the spinnerets.
This Agorius is one of the species described by French arachnologist Eugene Simon from specimens he collected in Singapore at the turn of the 19th century.
