Goldfish Palp-footed Spider
This species is similar to Boagrius pumilus in many ways. Its legs I are modified, each with a palp-like tarsus, a basally enlarged femur, a fringe of specialised hairs on the prolateral sides of the tibia. Like B. pumilus, the male palpal tibia is short and swollen. The carapace is finely granulated, highly elevated and strongly convex in front, and furnished with a pit that, under a microscope, appears framed by an inverted U. The AME are conspicuous, being three to four times larger than the ALE, conjuring an impression of the eyes of goldfish. The species differs from B. pumilus by the finer structures of the male palps.
