Common Black Leathery Sac Spider
This is a common species easily recognised by the transverse grey and black bands around the abdomen, even though the banding pattern may be variable among individuals. There is also considerable variation in size within the species. The female abdomen is pear-shaped, while the male abdomen appears like a longish vase or a laboratory flask.
