Kaleidoscope Jumper
This extraordinary species is easily recognised in the field by its spectacular colour pattern. The body is covered densely in iridescent setae that show a different sheen when viewed at different angles. (Compare the colours of the three mid-dorsal longitudinal bands among the photos on this page.) There is a characteristic brush of long hairs on tibiae I. On legs II to IV, the tarsi are clothed with pale setae. particularly conspicuous at tarsi II.
