Common Pond Flexi-legs
According to Thomas Workman who collected the first specimens of this species in Singapore, the spiders were found "in considerable numbers" on the banks of the pond in the Botanic Gardens, Singapore, where it lived under leaves. The species is no longer found in the Singapore Botanic Gardens, but still occurs around our reservoirs. It differs from other species in Singapore by its genitalia and its marginally more contrasting patterns on the body. The elongated male palp with a curved tibia characteristic of the genus is shown clearly on the upper right picture.
