Salticidae Hyllus

Hyllus semicupreus (Simon, 1885)

Copper Heavy Jumper

Like male H. diardi, the male has a bronzy body, but its cephalothorax is distinctly rounded when viewed from above, and the body is far more hairy.

The female can instantly be recognised by its intricately and strikingly patterned abdomen.
