Red-painted Lycopus
The first description of this species was based on a female collected in Singapore. It may be readily recognised by a tuft of stiff black bristles projecting from the clypeus. The carapace is polished, translucent green with an irregular purplish red median band at least at the posterior end where a few long bristles may be found. Superimposed on the green abdomen is an irregular median band with colours ranging from reddish brown to dark purple.
