White-lined Pirate Spider

The female is recognised by a median black band on the anterior three-fifth of the carapace and a short white median band at the anterior end of a largely reddish-brown dorsum with other black and white lines.

BiologyThe spherical egg sac is initially carried in the mother’s mouthparts. It is eventually bound within an intricate but loosely woven bundle of wiry golden silk and suspended by a cable-like strand of threads fixed to a substrate such as branches or rocks.
