Short-tarsus Comb-footed Spider
Spiders of the genus Moneta may be recognised by a projecting clypeus. with the two rows of eyes running almost in parallel rather than mounted on a raised tubercle as in Brunepisinus and Episinus. or around conical projections as in Janula. The legs are almost spineless. The tarsi are exceptionally short. For instance, in this species, the length of tarsus I is only 8% of that of the metatarsus.
