Glossy False Scorpion Jumper
Like Bavia and their relatives, spiders of the genus Nungia have a flattened body and relatively elongated abdomen, with a pair of well-developed legs I. However, they have unique genitalia that are different from these lookalikes and are clearly not related.
The species featured here is recognised by a glossy black carapace with orange hairs around the eyes. The abdomen is covered with beige coloured hairs. This particular species can be recognised in the field by the deep rounded fovea.
