Oecobiidae Oecobius

Oecobius concinnus Simon, 1893

Elegant Tiny House Dweller

Like many similar-looking species of Oecobius, the eight eyes are grouped closely in a cluster. The carapace is sub-circular and slightly pointed at the front, wider than long, and with three pairs of spots on its lateral slopes. The abdomen has variegated darker markings.

HabitatOn tree trunks in parkland, and on sheltered parts of man-made structures.
