Common Swollen Jaw Spider
The abdomen of both males and females of this black spider is armoured with a glossy scutum with four paired patches of white setae. The first tibiae and metatarsi are each armed with six and four pairs of long and reclining spines respectively.

Habitat | Under rocks in gardens, villages, and other degraded woodlands. |
Biology | Construct silken tubular retreats well camouflaged with integrated soil particles. At each end is a round entrance. |
