Double-streaked Daddy-long-legs
This dark coloured, eight-eyed species can be recognised by a pair of longitudinal wavy streaks on the second half of the dorsum. The dark spots that make up each streak may be separate or fused together. There is an orange spot at the posterior abdominal end in most specimens. Uthina luzonica shows similar patterns, but it has only six eyes and prefers a non-leafy habitat. In P. gracillimus, the AME are clearly visible with the naked eye.
