This species has well-developed legs I and II, and a longish abdomen. Interestingly, sexual dimorphism is shown in the colouration of femora and tarsi I and II (black in males; brown in females). The carapace is flat and a wavy pattern is present on the abdomen.
Etymology | The specific epithet "bakau" is the Malay name of the tropical mangrove trees belonging to the genus Rhizophora, which refers to the holotype’s habitat, mangroves. |
