Antelope Stalk-eyed Daddy-long-legs
The male of this species is readily recognised by an extended and pointed eye-stalk on which each of the eye triads is mounted.
The female abdomen is somewhat swollen or protruding angularly at mid-length. making it easy to separate from the similar-looking Leptopholcus podophthalmus which has a more cylindrical abdomen. Furthermore, P. atrigularis has only six eyes, unlike L. podophthalmus which has eight eyes.
