Palp-less Dimpled Orb Weaver
Like typical anapids, the pedicel is inserted into a shallow collar on the posterior slope of the carapace in both sexes. The male abdomen is armoured with a dorsal abdominal scutum. in addition to the ventral scutum which is present in both sexes.
The male of this species is recognised by the unique shape of a pair of apophyses on the femur of the male palp, one spine-like and the other bluntly triangular.
The female has significantly miniaturised palps, each reduced to two segments (coxa and trochanter). These are so small that in dorsal view they are not visible, the spider appearing a palp-less.
