Singapore Systaria
The body is uniformly brownish with a longish carapace with long hairs along its sides. The AME are enlarged and dark, the others being pearly white and smaller. When viewed from the front, the posterior eyes form a "procurved" row, meaning the PLE are in front of the PME. The chelicerae are comparatively longer than those in gnaphosids. As in gnaphosids but unlike cheiranthids. legs IV are longer than other legs. The anterior lateral spinnerets are separated and cylindrical, as in gnaphosids, but the posterior lateral spinnerets typically have a long, conical distal segment. never short and rounded as in gnaphosids. Other characters that set it apart from gnaphosids include their round PME (not oval or angular) and different copulatory structures.
