Tawny Bull-headed Hunter
As in other trachelids in Singapore, the cephalic region is wide and convex, and the carapace is covered with small and even granulations. Unlike Orthobula sp.. all legs are virtually spineless (with only a single small spine on each femora I. The legs are almost uniformly yellowish brown with only isolated sectors diffused with vaguely darker colouration. Also, unlike Orthobula, the dorsum does not show a distinct pattern, merely two tawny tones with the darker shade covering slightly more than half of the posterior end.
In overall appearance, this species may possibly be confused with Pandava laminata. but the former’s grainy carapace, along with the absence of a cribellum and calamistrum, will tell the two apart.
