Swallowtail Ant-mimicking Spider

The species may be distinguished from other described Aetius by the unique scissor-like or swallowtail-looking extension on the end of the carapace extension. In other Aetius, the extension is tube-like.

EtymologyThe specific epithet is an adjective in Latin, referring to the “bicuspid” or “twin-cusped” posterior projection of the carapace.
