Theridiidae Coleosoma

Coleosoma floridanum Banks, 1900

Florida Collared Comb-footed Spider

The male is similar to C. blandum but has a comparatively more elongated carapace and abdomen. The carapace and abdomen of the female are broadly oval. The colouration in both sexes may vary. Males usually have black botches posteriorly, and some have distinct black bands across the anterior and middle parts of the abdomen. Females have indistinct black patches on the dorsum. In some cases, a median band of irregular white and yellow patches runs over the dorsum.
