Orange Collared Comb-footed Spider
The female is recognised in the field by a short black band at the distal end of its tibiae IV, and a black tip at a posteriorly pointed abdomen which appears translucent ventrally and to some extent laterally. In these regards, it resembles certain morphs (colour variants) of C. blandum. However, the female copulatory organ differs from that of C. blandum: it has a large circular opening in front of a chalice-shaped sclerotised plate. While the colouration of the mature male specimens is unknown as they have not been collected, the overall colour of the sub-adult males is blackish brown, with a translucent lower abdomen.
