Araneidae Neoscona

Neoscona inusta (L. Koch, 1871)

Variable Grass Neoscona

This species differs from most other Neoscona in Singapore by a combination of characters: its genitalia, an oval and glossy abdomen, and the presence of a single broad band or darkish line on the carapace. In both sexes, the abdominal colouration and abdominal patterns vary vastly, ranging from lemon orange to greyish black, as pictured on this page.
