Serrated Spearhead Neoscona
The female may be recognised by the dorsal design of a serrated (saw-like) spear on a longish abdomen. The background colour may vary from yellow to brown, and the teeth of the "spear" may range from two to five pairs. The venter has a light-coloured horse-shoe pattern behind a conspicuously dark and elongated "scape". In some males, the spear pattern seen in the female dorsum is absent.
