Common Singapore Brown Tarantula
This is the most common tarantula in Singapore. It is easily recognised by its small size and the generic characters given above.

Habitat | In short silk-lined tubes in crevices in gardens, parkland and wasteland. |
Biology | Females guard their white, rounded and pillow-like egg sacs within the silken retreat. Upon reaching maturity, males venture out from the retreat in search of the females, and may be seen in and around dwellings or roadside during the day. |
