Palped Dimpled Orb Weaver
The genus Pseudanapis is recognised by a combination of characters, including the number of eyes (six), the proportionality of its legs (legs I and IV are subequal in length), the arrangement of apophyses (outgrowths) on the male palp (two on femur, one or two on patella) and the coarsely punctate (with dimples, as seen on golf balls) carapace, sternum and ventral abdominal scutum.
The female of this species is similar to P. parocula in general appearance, but differs in having a pair of short and small palps. In P. parocula, the female palps are reduced even further to a minuscule stump.
