Hersiliidae Hersilia

Hersilia sundaica Baehr & Baehr, 1993

Sunda Two-tailed Spider

This species can be recognised by its small size and the presence of three to four pairs of distinct tufts of white hair on the dorsum. The legs are relatively short, compared with other Hersilia species found in Singapore.

Length♀ 4 mm; ♂ 3–4 mm.
HabitatWooden structures along fringes of mangroves and parkland, tree trunks in secondary forests.
