Painted Blade-haired Triangular Spider
This is one of the more common Meotipa in Singapore’s forests. The female may be recognised by a tall, conical, and colourful abdomen, which is decorated with black, orange, and yellow streaks, hence the species name "picturata" rooted from the Latin word for "painted" or "picture". As in some Chrysso. the lower abdomen is translucent. The abdomen of the male is less elevated and colourful than that of the female, as shown in the two photographs on the right.
