Durian Meotipa
This small species is not a typical Meotipa. In side view, the abdomen is box-like, rather than conical as in most Meotipa. Its dorsum bears two pairs of thorn-like tubercles. and an "erectile" tail-like posterior extension which may retract when the spider is disturbed. The legs and abdomen are covered by stiff, flattened setae. Such setae on the abdomen are shorter and more rounded compared to those of the other species of Meotipa in Singapore.
