Oxyopidae Oxyopes

Oxyopes javanus Thorell, 1887

Javan Lynx Spider

Although the male appears similar to O. birmanicus and O. lineatipes. it is easily identified in the field as the tibia of each of its palps has a characteristic black, sinuate (crooked or curvy) and elongated process. Under a microscope, the female copulatory organ is also distinctive with a thick V-shape structure (not shown here).
