Common Garden Lynx Spider
Studied by German arachnologist Carl L. Koch (1778 –1857), this species holds the record of being the first spider to be described from Singapore. It is one of the commonest spiders among low-lying vegetation in open areas in Singapore. Distinguishing this species from B. birmanicus will require a microscopic examination of its copulatory organs.
