Pink-rumped Comb-footed Spider
The name "triangula" was given by the author of this species, the late Hajime Yoshida, to describe the shape of a part of the male palp. The spider does not have triangular body shape (such as in Janula), instead, the large abdomen is rounded and smooth. Females bear a distinct pinkish-red blush on the dorsum as well as a dark marking on the posterior end of their abdomen. It is separated from some otherwise similar brown Parasteatoda by the carapace which has median and marginal dark areas.
