Conical Lumpy Tube-headed Spider
The female is superficially similar to that of Phoroncidia sp. C: both have a lumpy appearance with protruding tubercles on the dorsum. In this species, the anterior pair of low tubercles are more conical than those of the Phoroncidia sp. C female. Behind the anterior paired tubercles are three additional conical tubercles, including a median cone than is more pronounced than the lateral pair. The corrugated sternum and the sclerotised ring around the spinnerets, both characteristic of the genus Phoroncidia, are clearly visible in the ventral view of this spider.
