Black-sided Balloon Spider
The brown abdomen of this common and large theridiid is flanked by a pair of large black patches extending from the anterior half of the dorsum to the sides. While the rest of the abdomen are uniformly brown in some specimens, black markings are extended on the sides of the posterior half of the abdomen of most other individuals. In such cases, the dorsal and lateral surfaces of the abdomen are speckled with white spots and flecks, as shown in the upper picture.
