Embroidered Carapace Big-jawed Spider
This species is probably new to science. A single specimen was found on one of Singapore’s outer islets. It is recognised by a relatively short abdomen and an elaborate pattern around the carapace, like embroidery. It is related to T. ceylonica (below) with lateral eyes mounted on tubercles, but the tubercles of this species are not as large as those of T. ceylonica.
