Yellow-banded Jumper
The species name is rooted in two Latin words, viz., latus, meaning "wide" or "broad", and fasciatus, meaning "colourfully banded" or "girdled". It refers to the broad yellow bands on the abdomen, and parts of the legs and palps.
The male differs from the female by having black and exceptionally elongated tibiae I, and a transverse band of white setae on the carapace.
