Heteropoda borneensis
Giant Orange Huntsman
The species is conspicuous by its large size, bicoloured chelicerae, and distinct overall colouration — orange in females, and dusty brown in males. On their ventral side, the sternum and coxae in both sexes are black. The venter of the male is totally black while that of the female is marked by a near T-shaped black band with the upper bar just below the epigastric groove (the line in front of which the female organ is located). The males have much longer legs with white hairs on their tibiae and metatarsi. The female legs have similar white hairs, but only on the corresponding segments on legs III and IV.
