Heteropoda jaegerorum Jäger, 2008

Filial Piety Huntsman

This species is similar in appearance to H. tetrica and H. venatoria, but mature males can easily be distinguished by a large, laterally protruding process on the tegulum. The spider was named in honour of the parents of Dr Peter Jäger, an expert on huntsman spiders.
